Customs police at a Romanian border point with Hungary discovered 26 Iraqi citizens hidden in a truck planning to cross the border illegally on Monday night. They were planning to reach Germany to earn a better living.
Police at the border point of Nadlac determined that the truck driver has cached 500 euro for each Iraqi.
The 26 Iraqi citizens were hidden between loads of cosmetics at the departure point in Athens, the Romanian public radio informs, quoted by monitoring agency Rador. Over the past several months, Romania’s border with Hungary has been assaulted by various non-EU citizens trying to enter the Schengen area illegally.
