The government of Romania adopted a series of measures on Monday aimed at a better collaboration with Italian authorities to prevent criminality and to protect Romanian migrants working and living legally in Italy - that is, most Romanians who left there.

The main measures refer to issues like: joint programs among police forces, strengthening the judicial and diplomatic personnel; social measures and an extensive public communication.

The government also decided to increase by 30 the number of Romanian police officers that have to aid their Italian counterparts and to establish a team of ten magistrates to keep contact with EU member states in dealing with migrants.
