British company Mott MacDonald has won a 10 million euro tender for consultancy services related to the project and supervision of the highway linking Romanian cities of Constanta and Cernavoda in the South Eastern part of the country.

According to the acquisition announcement for the international tender organized by Romanian authorities, four offers were submitted but the chosen one was the cheapest, namely the British company.

The total value of the project is 9.85 million euro and is co-financed by the European Bank of Investment and the Romanian government.

Romanian Transport minister Ludovic Orban had recently said the technical project for the Cernavoda-Constanta highway was to be finalized before the end of 2007 and that a builder would be chosen by March next year.
