The Government approved in its Wednesday session a memorandum suspending the parliamentarian debates on the law draft settling the Automobile Craiova privatization. The decision is due to an investigation opened by the European Commission, which seems to suspect some state-offered incentives before the privatization.

Formerly owned by Daewoo, than won back by the state due to debts, Automobile Craiova was recently bought by Ford, after months of negotiations.

The parliamentarian debates will be suspended until the European Commission formulates an official point of view.
