The Bucharest Appeal Court rejected on Tuesday the anti-graft prosecutor’s demand of having Agriculture Minister Ioan Avram Muresan investigated under arrest. The former dignitary will remain free all through the trial. Muresan is accused of bribing the Agriculture Minister in office, Decebal Traian Remes, offering him money from a businessman, Gheorghe Ciorba.

Muresan declared for the press that he will plead not guilty.

According to a press release, Muresan - a former Agriculture Minister in the early '90's - is himself accused of money laundering.
