Michael Hayden, head of the Central Intelligence Agency, visited Romania for two days (on Wednesday and Thursday), answering the invitation of the Romanian Intelligence Service (SRI) president, George-Cristian Maior, an official press release informs.

According to the official information, Hayden met president Basescu and prime minister Calin Popescu Tariceanu, as well as SRI and Foreign Intelligence officials.

The main topics were the evolution of the international security environment, based on mutual cooperation, including the anti-terrorism fight.
