Petrom increased the fuel prices in its network, a company press release has announced. Thus, the gasoline price grew by 0.06 Romanian RON per liter and the diesel price by 0.07 Romanian RON per liter.

The decision was taken given the rise of the international oil quotations, the company says.

Petrom had already increased diesel prices by 0.08-0.09 RON RON two weeks ago.

According to company representatives, the price policy of Petrom, adopted at the beginning of 2005 takes in consideration not only the international price evolution of oil products but also the internal market context.

Petrom is owned by OMV Austrian group and holds some 500 gas stations in Romania.
