The body of a newborn baby was found in the dump of a house in Arganda del Rey near Madrid, Spanish newspaper El Mundo reports, quoted by Romanian news agency Rador. The baby belonged to a woman of Romanian citizenship who dumped it shortly after giving birth. Doctors quoted by the publication say they could do nothing to save the newborn.

The mother and the man she was living with were arrested.

She was transferred to the O’Donnell maternity ward. Preliminary investigations showed her roommate called emergency number 112 when she found the body of the baby in the dump. It could not be saved despite 30-minute attempts to reanimate it.
