The National Commission for Nuclear Activities Control approved the nominal power increase of the second reactor at the Cernavoda nuclear plant. The maximum capacity production may be reached before the end of September, according to NewsIn.

The functioning authorization will be issued when all tests are completed, about at the end of September. The second reactor in Cernavoda, with its 700 MW capacity, will provide some 20% of all Romania's energy production.
