President Traian Basescu threats to give a "very strong answer" in the case of the Romanian diplomat accused by Moldovan authorities of accepting bribe in order to release Romanian visas. The head of state says this is one of the several "aggressions" orchestrated by Kishinev, but warns that Romania will answer this time in a rough manner.

"The entire trick was to film the Romanian public servant with an envelope, not knowing whether he was giving or receiving it. The diplomat is at home now. We know where the frauds take place - at the tourism agencies. This is the last aggression orchestrated against Romania and we will respond in a strong voice", said Basescu.

According to Realitatea TV, Basescu added that the Moldovan authorities should quit provoking such scandals, since not the Romanian embassy in Kishinev, nor the Consulate, offer visas for Romania, all visa applications being analyzed and approved in Bucharest.
