The national weather authority, ANM, issued a new ‘yellow code’ high heat warning for most of southern Romania during the period of August 22-24 on Monday. The warning addresses the regions of Oltenia, Muntenia, Western Dobrogea in the South, Banad and Southern Crisana in the South-West as well as Moldova in the East.

Temperatures will rise to 35-36 degrees Celsius in this regions during the mentioned period. Government officials have set a meeting to discuss the necessary measures for the period.
