Ford Europe submitted a more generous offer for taking over Automobile Craiova than the one required by the Romanian officials, State Assets Agency (AVAS) President Teodor Atanasiu said on Saturday, quoted by the press agency Mediafax.

State officials announced that Ford will spend more than one billion USD in Romania and is required to produce more than 200.000 cars a year in the next four years and maintain a work force of 3.000 employees.

Both the technical and financial offers submitted are due to be analyzed today by representatives of the privatization committee.
