Dutch architects "De Architekten CIE" project expansion plans for the Government’s building in Piata Victoriei, as the firm won the international project competition informs a governmental press release.

Plans are due to start next year and involve setting up a new building, behind the current location. Since existing buildings do not comply with necessary standards, they will be demolished to make room for the new project.

The current building of the Romanian executive will have only a symbolic function, as the offices will be moved in the new built building.

Expansion plans have been sustained after experts reported that the building will be highly affected in case of an earthquake.
