The Romanian Economy and Finance Ministry (MEF) sold on Wednesday state titles worth some 45 million euros (139 million RON), with the buyback at six months. The first rate represents about a quarter of the total worth of the series, estimated at 500 MN RON, a press release of the Central Bank informs.

The average annual efficiency rate was 6.83%.

The acquisition demand from banks was over a billion RON. MEF approved only a maximum efficiency rate of 6.88%. The nominal value of sold titles, which includes the buyback value, was 143.81 million RON.

The bid gathered 12 primary brokers, which had an added-up demand of over 1 billion worth of titles.
