Parliamentarian elections in Romania will include both uninominal votes and party lists. The Electoral Commission approved the new projects tabled by the Democrat Party and the Pro-Democracy Association (APD). Still, the way mandates are to be distributed was not settled.

The head of the Commission, Mihai Voicu, admits that "a half of step forward was made". The only party opposing the uninominal elections projects is the far-right Great Romania Party.
