31 Romanians on the Gaza strip addressed the Romanian embassy in Tel Aviv, asking for support in their urgent repatriation. From Brussels, president Traian Basescu asked the official institutions to offer their help, in order to help them return home, said the presidential spokesman, Valeriu Turcan.
According to official sources, the efforts to repatriate the 31 citizens are doubled by the fact that most of them don't have papers or money and aren't even recorded in the Israeli files as legally entering the country.
