The European Investment Bank will start granting loans to the Romanian SMEs by the end of July, following the launch of the operational programmes to be financed via structural funds. The loans will reach up to 100 million euros, the vice-president of the EIB Matthias Kollatz-Ahnen said on June, 7, at the inauguration of the IEB Romanian Office.

The EIB officials have announced that a draft of the contract to be signed with the Romanian Government has already been sketched, while the details of the JEREMIE (Joint European Resources for Micro to medium Enterprises) programme to provide assistance for SMEs will be released later.
