Romania president Traian Basescu will participate on Friday in Brno (the Czech Republic), where 15 heads of states are gathered, representing countries in the Central, Eastern and Southern Europe. It is Basescu’s first foreign visit after one month of suspension from the office.

The purpose of the event is to improve the dialogue between the countries in the area, mainly with Kosovo and Russia, regarding issues like the installation of the American anti-rocket shield in the Czech Republic.

Because of the sudden aggravation of the interior situation, the Ukrainian president, Viktor Yushcenko, has cancelled his participation.
