Political parties reached a consensus on the uninominal vote. Representatives of the Social Democrat, Liberal and Democrat parties decided to launch the public debate on the law draft suggested by the "Pro Democratia" Association (APD). Following the agreement, the Electoral Code Commission in the Parliament will open the debate in the APD project.
The APD draft introduces the mixed uninominal vote, combining the majority system - used for electing mayors and others as such - and the proportional system. The initiative was submitted to the Parliament by Liberal representatives.
