Orange Romania conducted its firsts tests for the HSUPA technology (High Speed Uplink Packet Access) in the small city of Slatina (Southern Romania). The new technology enables uplink speeds up to 1.92 Mbps, a company press release informs.

The data calls tests through HSUPA, the average uplink speed reaching 1.1 Mbps. According to the company, the speed for Internet access and data transfers will increase in time to 7.2Mbps.

Orange Romania announced that the new technology will be available for the public before the end of the year.
