The merger process involving the two airports in the Northern side of Bucharest, Henri Coanda - Otopeni and Aurel Vlaicu - Baneasa will end on May 12, said Alexandros Galiatatos, state secretary in the Transport Ministry. The newly formed company will be named the “Bucharest Airports National Company” (CNAB).

The general manager will be Gabriel Tara, currently general manager of the Otopeni airport.

The company will be opened for privatization in June, according to some earlier statements of the new Transport Minister, Ludovic Orban.
