In a recent interview for the elite magazine "22", the US Ambassador to Romania, Nicholas Taubman, speaks about the latest political evolutions in Romania and the US position on the ongoing political crisis.

"In any fair political competition, chances should be equal for all parties involved, there should be no games arranged against one player or another", says the US official.

After warning a month ago that Romania is about to make some steps back, Taubman explains now that the US are ready to "help Romania consolidate its democratic institutions".

"The political situation today raised some questions for investors and businessmen and not only. I repeatedly said that Romania must make some progress in reforming the Justice system and in the anti graft campaign", said Taubman.
