The stock exchange in Spain was shocked last week with a fast depreciation of the prices for construction companies shares. Analysts say the crisis may influence the labor force crisis back home in case several thousands of construction workers there decide to return to Romania.

The possible causes for the crisis in Spain are the fast growing prices (real estate price doubled during the past 5 years) and the 800,000 apartments that should be built this year, to cover a demand of only 600,000.

Over 50,000 Romanians may work for the two major construction companies in Spain, FCC and Sacyr Vallehermoso.
