The Environment Minister, Attila Korodi, stated during an environmentalists' meeting, that the money collected from the cars’ first registration tax should be entirely transferred to his Ministry, so that the funds would be used only for environmental protection.
“We’re currently negotiating with the Finance and Economy Ministry, in order to agree on a legal ordinance to allow the car tax collection to be transferred to environmental projects”. Korodi said, adding that the current for of the law shouldn’t cause any arguments in the European Union.
