The booming resorts in the north of Bulgaria’s Black Sea seaside will face a major lack of personnel in the coming tourism season and will have to bring in labor from Romania and the Moldovan Republic, according to Bulgarian experts quoted by Novinite.com agency.

According to the head of restaurant owners’ association in Dobrich, Dimitar Dimitrov, quoted by Novinite, some 1,500 workers are needed - especially cooks, waiters and lifeguards.

The Bulgarian seaside has become a major point of interest for Romanian tourists for several years. Over 20,000 Romanians visited the Bulgarian Black Sea instead of Romania’s own seaside resorts during the Easter holiday last weekend alone.
