Germanwings, the low-cost operator partially controlled by Lufthansa-affiliated Eurowings, launches its first Romanian operations this month. Its first flight is scheduled for March 25, the launch of the company’s operations for the summer season.

Company representatives told HotNews.ro flights were on offer from Bucharest to Cologne at prices starting from 19 euro.

The Cologne-based company is focusing on offers to and fro the most important business centers in Europe. For the summer 2007 season, Germanwings has included 66 destinations on its chart.

The first flight for Romania will run from Cologne/Bonn-Bucharest-Cologne/Bonn, at a frequency of three flights a week.
