“Monica Macovei is the only minister who ever managed to significantly change a written regulation, as it was established by the Government. It was the National Integrity Agency law, debated one day before it was presented to the Parliament”, said PM Tariceanu on Thursday.

A few days ago, Macovei accused the Government of significantly altering several laws “on the road between the Cabinet and the official publication”.

Macovei responded that she didn’t - and wouldn’t have the competence to - change any laws, as approved by the Government. Her statement was made pointing at the government’s secretary general, Radu Stroe, later defended by PM Tariceanu:

“Radu Stroe has all the reasons to be upset with Monica Macovei. It’s not the first time she makes accusations without proving any of it”, said Tariceanu.
