Sales of Romanian Dacia cars manufactured by French car producer Renault dropped 3.9% in February compared to the same period in 2006, a report of the French company shows. Dacia sales fell to 13,562 units in February this year from 14,112 units a year ago.

The figures have been influenced by extremely week commercial vehicle sale results, with only 411 cars sold - 60% less than in February last year.

Total Dacia sales for the first two months of 2007 stood at 25,032 units, down 11.% compared to the same period last year. But Logan MCV, put on sale in October 2006, exceeded expectations with 23,000 orders since the beginning of the year.

In February, Logan MCV was put on sale in over 12 European countries, Turkey and Algeria.
