President Traian Basescu will decide until the beginning of April whether the referendum for the uninominal vote takes place or not. The head of state will decide upon the problem after evaluating the possibility to have the Parliament adopt the new form of the electoral law before the end of the session.
The president made the statements on Wednesday, after a second and final round of discussions with the representatives of political parties. According to the president, all parties offered solutions for the national minorities to gain representation in the future shape of the Parliament.
