The Supreme Council of the self-proclaimed Transdniestr Republic published a resolution on Thursday, announcing that the country quits for good the project of forming a common state with the Moldovan Republic.

The resolution, effective immediately, annulled two previous documents that referred to forming a confederation or a federal state involving the two countries.

One of the documents was adopted in 1992, during the negotiations following the armed conflict between Kishinev and Tiraspol.
