President Basescu will address parliamentarians today, his speech regarding "Present problems in Romania's interior politics", one day after the Senate passed a simple motion against Justice Minister Monica Macovei.
Senate's speaker, Bogdan Olteanu, refuses to lead the session, considering that Basescu offended him. "I won’t change a word with Basescu, unless he apologizes", says Olteanu.
Basescu is expected to back up with examples the statements made last week, when he accused that the Romanian political class is interested rather in protecting criminals and passing laws for their own good than the general well-being.
