The Office for Labor Force Migration (OMFM) involved in the leaving abroad for work of 53,000 Romanians, who earned a total of 157 million euros. According to the OMFM data, over 80% of them left to work in Agriculture, for wages between 700 and 1,200 euros.

Some 38,500 Romanians chose to work in Germany, while 14,200 preferred Spain. The best wages in Spain were earned by the construction workers, with an average income of 1,500 euros per month.

Half of the workers are between 26 and 35 years old, equally men and women.
