Romanian employees must register their workers twice starting this year - on traditional work registers and in electronic form. Each employee would have his personal electronic file showing all changes to his labor contracts.
Employers must establish a register of employee evidence in electronic format and send it to territorial labor inspectors or risks fines of hundreds or thousands of euro.
Entrepreneurs establishing local branches, agencies or other local units with no judicial representation for their companies may have them take over the competence to establish the electronic register.
