The four persons arrested in the scandal of strategic privatizations appealed the arrest decision and will be heard by the Supreme Court of Justice on Saturday.

Ministry officials Mihai Donciu and Dorinel Mucea, as well as the international consultants Stamen Stanchev and Vadim Benyatov Don were arrested for 20 days on November 29th.

All four were charged with treason through transmitting state secrets and with espionage in strategic privatizations.

Defense attorney claim their clients can’t be arrested because they were already forbidden to leave town and, even more, their files didn’t see any new evidence being added.

During the hearings, Stantchev emphasized on the fact that he has no special relations with the Economy Minister, Codrut Seres, or the IT&C Minster, Zsolt Nagy.
