The Romanian Liberal Euro Observer, Adrian Cioroianu, was elected on Wednesday as vice president of the Democrat - Liberal group (ALDE) in the European Parliament. The ALDE group elected its new leadership for the following 30 months, and chose Graham Watson as president with a large majority.

Adrian Cioroianu is the Timis Liberal senator in Romania and submitted the draft foe the Lustration Law along with Mona Musca and Viorel Oancea. As a historian, he wrote “On Marx’ Shoulders. Introduction to the Romanian communism”.

Cioroianu entered politics as counselor of the former Liberal president, Theodor Stolojan.
