The portfolios of the European Commissioners become less important with the same rate the European Union grows larger, a comment published on Friday by EU Observer reads.

The author believes that the tasks for the Romanian and the Bulgarian commissioners are nothing but a lost momentum in the real problems approach on an European level.

The climate change would have been a more appropriate job, says Peter Sainley Berry, in his EU Observer comments, as well as the energy crisis or the European Constitution.

“In exchange, the EC president, Manuel Durao Barroso, didn’t wish to change any of the current distributions of portfolios”, the article reads.
