The Romanian IT services market reached a total value of 199,7 million USD dollars last year, up 19% compared to 2004, according to a new study quoted by Siveco Romania. The study shows the Romanian market is still dominated by basic services such as hardware support and installation and integration.

The document says the market will from now on focus on more complex IT services, leading to new development in the field as the tendency of IT services consolidation will intensify after the country joins the EU next year.

The most significant investments in IT services procurement last year came from the public administration, the manufacturing sector, financial, utility, telecom and transport industries.
