Petromidia Refinery will produce exclusively Euro 4 and 5 Diesel gas following the updating of the installation. The 3.5 million Euros investment in technology will yield a 30% increase the production capacity.
The modernisation process will be carried out by the Rominserv company and Rompetrol specialists. The new equipment is made in Romania and the new reactor to replace the old one comes from Italy.
The Euro 4 standard will be obligatory in Romania starting 2007, while Euro 5 will become mandatory in 2009.
