Ford is still interested in the new privatization of the Craiova car factory and would be about to face General Motors to take over the plant, Romanian Economy minister Codrut Seres has said. Seres was part of the delegation led by President Traian Basescu to the United States last week.
He also said he held talks with US defense industry company Bell Helicopter and that a technical team of the group would arrive in Romania in early July. The Bell team will visit IAR Ghimbav, Romaero Baneasa and the Craiova plane factory, he said.
And Seres said he also held talks with big oil companies for a possible involvement in the Constanta-Trieste pipeline project.
