The Al Mahmoud 4, allegedly the ship that helped Arab businessman to flee Romania and land in Syria, arrived in the Midia shipyard on Monday, but the crew denied that Omar Hayssam stepped aboard.
The authorities checking the ship conceded that the transport was fully legal. According to press information, Hayssam had left Romania aboard this ship heading towards Syria, one week ago.
On Monday morning, the prosecutor Ciprian Nastasiu, who had investigated the three Romanian journalists’ kidnap by Hayssam and a close ally, was sacked for releasing Omar from prison.
