The number of Romanian tourists spending their holidays in Antalya has increased significantly to 7,271, up 53% in the first semester 2006, compared to the same period in the previous year, according to Turkish Daily News.

Ukrainians also prefer Turkey, their number increased 44%, and so do Russians, Byelorussian, Poland, Lithuania, Hungary and the Czech Republic. The western Europeans however depleted in the Turkish seaside resort. The Germans dropped from 41% to 37% of the total tourists’ number, and the Dutch, Swiss, Italians, Danes, Swedes, French and Britons chose other destinations this year.
