Romania’s Foreign Affairs minister Razvan Ungureanu asked his Syrian counterpart Walid Al-Mouallem to help Romanians from Lebanon transiting Syria on their way back home.
The first convoy of over 400 Romanians returning home was evacuated via Siria on Monday. Razvan Ungureanu thanked Syria for the support of the repatriation operations of the Romanian citizens from Lebanon.
The Syrian Foreign Affairs minister said that the support shown for the Romanian citizens shows the good relations between the two countries and ensured his Romanian counterpart that he would personally watch over the repatriation of Romanians.
