Some 280 Romanian citizens arrived on the Henri Coanda International Airport in Bucharest on Monday night as they left Lebanon following spiraling confrontations between Israel and the Hezbollah militia. They left the Middle East by plane from Alep, Syria, where they had arrived from Lebanon by bus earlier yesterday, according to the Romanian Presidency.

Some other 30 people were on the three planes, including 20 citizens who had crossed the Lebanese-Syrian border individually and were shown the way to Alep to take the flights of Tarom, the Romanian airline company.

Some other 200 Romanian citizens have asked to be evacuated from lebanon and their return home is due to occur as soon as possible, according to authorities in Bucharest.
