Ex-prime minister Adrian nastase faced a new grilling at the National Anti-Corruption Department (DNA) on Monday, DNA sources told HotNews.ro on Monday. The former PM told Hotnews.ro that he refused to make any other statements to the DNA prosecutors in the Zambaccian case, as it was a politically manoeuvred case.

"It is so obvious that the case is political and I no longer want to collaborate with the prosecutors who ask me about illegalities related to pens and electoral posters. I feel harassed by the prosecutors who need to prove themselves to the European authorities before the fall report of the European commission", Nastase stated for Hotnews.ro.

Nastase is charged in a graft and traffic of influence case related to a property in Bucharest. The case also involves Nastase’s wife, Dana Nastase, and other former officials.
