Holland concluded the ratification process of Romania and Bulgaria’s EU Accession Treaty, which started on February 7 when the Lower Chamber of the Dutch Parliament endorsed the accord.

The ratification came into effect on Wednesday, after the Queen signed the accord on Tuesday, according to the Sofia press agency Novinite.com.

On June 14, the Dutch Parliament endorsed the Treaty with a large majority of 71 votes in favour and only 4 against.

Currently, there are three states left to ratify the Treaty - Belgium, Denmark and Germany.
