The number of victims following extensive floods and mudslides across Romania last weekend rose to ten dead and two missing, according to the latest toll announced on Monday. Intervention teams are still looking for a woman and a child, missing after their village in the county of Suceava was hit by swelling creek waters three days ago.

The total number of towns and villages hit by extreme weather over the weekend stood at 75 on Monday, 28 of which in the county of Suceava. Some 2,300 households there suffered damages, 28 homes were destroyed and 93 were badly damaged in the region.
