The manager of a poultry farm Aviprod 2002 Ploiesti was taken into custody by Police for 24 hours for having sold forged products banned for consume within April 25 and May 7.

At the farm, the investigators found a ground hole where dead birds had been buried. The farm is several meters away from Drakom farm where analyses indicated the presence of H5 virus on May 12.

Ion Stavri is the third farm manager in Codlea eyed by prosecutors for hiding the fact that avian flu killed their birds, along the Drakom manager Vasile Dardala and Patiprod company’ head Florin Macovei.

Two merchants and three vets are investigated at large.
