Romanian PM Calin Popescu Tariceanu together with EU Commission president Jose Manuel Barroso, and Enlargement commissioner Olli Rehn, will play a charity football match in Vienna, one day before the EU- Latin America summit to take place in Austria on May 12.

The Romanian PM accepted the invitation from the Austrian chancellor Wolfgang Schussel, and will play on the quarter back position of FC Europa. The benefits of this charity event will be donated for a project by Father Georg Sporschill Foundation aimed at helping homeless children.

The European team also includes the Slovene PM Janez Jansa, the Polish PM Kazimierz Marcinkiewicz, Croatian PM Ivo Sanader, and Buylgarian PM Serghei Stanisev.

Enlargement commissioner has a passion for football as former professional player since 1968 for Finnish FC Mikkelin Palloilijat. In 1991, he played for FC Finnish Parliament and CS Eurocommission II (1998-2002). Within 1996-97, Oli Rehn held the Chairmanship of the Football League of Finland.
