Deputies of the Privatization Commission rejected on Wednesday the ordinance regarding the privatization of the Romanian Savings House, the National Lottery and the National Printing House, protesting against the fact that the Finance minister Sebastian Vladescu did not take part to the meeting.

The commissioners sanctioned thus the constant absence of the Finance minister to the debates on various projects proposed by the Government.

However, the privatization strategy of the National Lottery sparked controversy and the Government brought some changes to the previous proposal. The Govt’s ordinance entails the transfer of 20 percent of the shares to the Proprietatea Fund, 5 percent to be traded on the Bucharest Stock Exchange and other 7 percent to be sold to the employees. The Government dropped the sale to the employees.
