The Romanian National Television (TVR) closed down economic activity in 2005 with half the profit recorded in the previous year, according to the financial report available on TVR website. In 2004, TVR recorded 68,2 mln RON, while last year the profit amounted to 32,3 mln RON.

In 2005 revenues totalized 44,7 mln RON. Money was invested in modernising facilities and buildings, and purchase of 51 new cars.

TVR is the state-owned television and is made up of more stations: TVR 1, TVR 2, TVR International, TVR Cultural, and the locals: TVR Cluj, TVR Craiova, TVR Iasi, and TVR Timisoara.
